Lebanon begins drive to defang militant groups

1. Let’s hope they can disarm all the militants and don’t just half ass it.

2. That’s weird, I was told by the Reddit brain trust that everyone in Lebanon was a civilian and Israel was trying to genocide them?

3. Israel-Lebanon deal is working out great, even if only Netanyahu could realize he can only get similar gains through agreements with the Palestinian elite in the West Bank and Gaza.

4. I don’t buy it. Too much of the Lebanese government is in Hezbollah’s pocket. This feels like a farce designed to keep Israel at bay.

   But I do hope for everyday Lebanese people that it’s true and genuine.

5. Until Hezbollah is dismantled, not just disarmed we can always have another round of fighting in the near future.
