REDDING, Calif. – The City of Redding announced Friday that portions of Clear Creek Road will experience closures and detours from May 27 to June 23 due to pipeline inspections.

Officials say that the project will impact traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

According to the City of Redding, the work involves inspecting a 10-inch natural gas pipeline at up to three locations along the shoulder of Clear Creek Road.

This includes excavation, stripping the pipeline coating, taking ultrasonic scans, and conduct any repair work that is needed.

Motorists are urged to drive cautiously in the work zone or consider alternate routes of travel. Traffic will be limited to one lane with traffic control measures in place.

Emergency services will still have access to the work area, ensuring no interruptions to essential services.

The City of Redding encourages drivers to plan ahead to avoid delays.
