Former climbing instructor jailed for carrying vile sexual abuse

1. A former climbing instructor has been jailed for carrying vile sexual abuse on children he taught. Allan Ellinson carried out some of his attacks by keeping sweets in his pocket and encouraging children to reach for them.

   A court heard Ellinson, now 64, who ran a business teaching climbing in Marple, abused four children when they were aged between 10 and 14. His crimes began to unravel when one of his victims told her mother who alerted the NSPCC. The police were called and a criminal investigation was launched.

   Ellinson, from Poynton in Cheshire, was a ‘trusted instructor’ who was known by many families, according to Greater Manchester Police. Now he’s behind bars.
