Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently toasted to their seventh year of marriage, showcasing a bond that seems unbreakable.
After they famously departed from their Royal roles in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have crafted a new chapter for themselves in Montecito, California with their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three. Despite their differing origins — he a member of the British monarchy and she an American actress — the duo’s love story has been a success, culminating in a proposal from Harry, aged 40, to Meghan, aged 43, within two years of meeting.
United by their shared dedication to philanthropy, a poignant line from Harry’s revelatory 2023 memoir, Spare, hints at the idea that despite their apparently distinct pasts, their experiences may not be so disparate.

He penned the thought-provoking sentence: “Being royal, it turned out, wasn’t all that far from being onstage. Acting was acting, no matter the context.”
This insight suggests that Harry saw more similarities between their lives than one might expect, considering Meghan’s prominence on the legal drama hit ‘Suits’.
Though Meghan became widely recognized for her role on ‘Suits’, she eventually bid farewell to acting to pursue a life with Harry, moving across the pond to the UK.
Following their 2018 nuptials in Windsor, Meghan transitioned into a full-time working Royal alongside Prince Harry. However, this role was short-lived, with the couple stepping back from Royal duties in 2020.
The pair then decided to relocate to the United States, Meghan’s homeland, where she has gradually made her way back onto the celebrity scene.
While she hasn’t returned to acting, Meghan has found herself in front of the camera several times over the past five years, including appearances on the 2022 Netflix docuseries “Harry and Meghan.”
This year, the mother-of-two also starred in her own cooking show, “With Love, Meghan” which has already been greenlit for a second season.
Despite her comfort in front of the camera, Meghan confessed in a 2022 interview that her acting career is a thing of the past.
In a chat with Vanity Fair, when asked if she would return to acting, the Duchess responded: “No. I’m done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”
