'I don't know what we'll do' – Vapers panic-buy ahead of disposables ban”
Continues to spout the line it’s a quitting aid – yet kids who have never touched a cigarette now do it.
Says they are a quitting aid – yet come in flavours.
Spout the lines from tobacco companies practically word for word – yet claim they are making an informed decision.
Only applies to disposable vapes – reducing plastic waste – yet still seen as a problem.
It may come as a shock to the subject of the article – but she won’t cease to exist after those vapes run out. Given there is still reusable on the market.

I totally agree. So many people buy them and get hooked on them without touching cigarettes. The era of “e-cigs” in their original form and intent has long since passed.
> With everything else going on in my life, what if I forget to recharge my vape?
Charge it for a few minutes and have the odd puff? Have a second vape as a spare? Just wait until it’s charged?
This woman is not only addicted to nicotine, she seems borderline neurotic.
Mental to me cigarettes need to be in bland packaging and out of sight, but now the cigarette counter looks like a sweet shop with loads of bright colours and flavours of vapes. Mad cigarette laws weren’t just instantly applied to vapes.
The added issue with vaping is that we still aren’t entirely certain about the long-term health effects of their use either, with a lot going off previous research on cigarettes. Done right they are considered healthier than cigarettes, but that’s a very low bar to clear.
Some vapes, particularly disposable ones, have been found to contain things like lead in them and governments have been slow to stop their appeal to children through the use of flavours.
>quitting aid
Quitting implies stopping. If reusable ones aren’t an option, it feels like a problem that solves itself.
On a side note, I am always surprised how willing people are to be featured in stories like this – basically just complaining about something changing. [Like this person holding up new meat packaging](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11945059/Sainsburys-defends-new-vacuum-packaging-mince-shoppers-say-turns-meat-mush.html). I guess exposure is exposure…
I moved to vaping to stop smoking. They are a pain in the arse, coils tanks etc. but it is so much cheaper than disposable vapes.
I’ve seen vapes being used by 12 year olds.
The tabacco industry (let’s really call it the nicotine industry) being allowed to market to and get young children addicted to their products after so much progress being made is shameful.
Don’t get me started on the utterly disgusting wastefulness of disposable vapes. This lady needs to get a grip.
I tried to use them as a tool to quit smoking and ended up more addicted than I was before because when smoking, I would have to wait for a break to go outside and have one, the vape I would just do in the house any time I’d like.
Cara wants to blame the world for her self made problems. “With everything else she’s got going on in her life” she still finds time to over inflate those lips.
I don’t have kids, but my colleagues do and as soon as they get to secondary school it seems all of them start vaping one way or another. the stories I hear of a 14 year old lass having 18 empty disposables under her bed remind me so much of when I was 14 and hiding my cigarettes.
Completely agree here, the amount of people who vape and have never smoked is absolutely absurd. Disposable vapes have needed regulation for years.
and yet,it IS a quitting aid. It has been for me, and it has been for many people i know. However, the disposable vapes are not necessary for quitting.
And people using it as an aid need to know that just making the switch isn’t quitting; you need to reduce the nicotine in the solution, again and again until you no longer need it.
And the flavours help quitting too. If it tastes foul, you’re not going to stick with it.
But disposiable vapes are unnecessary and are bad for the environment, so get rid. but please spare me the overzwalous holier than thou “big tobacco” drivel, Check out what CancerResearch UK says about smoking cessation and vaping, get your science right. It’s helping noone.
Riddance!
The ban has already been circumvented. The same old disposable vapes are now being sold as refillable, rechargeable ‘kits’ for the exact same price. The kind of thing that happens when you push out half-arsed laws.
I have said it for fucking years that disposable vapes should be banned outright, and the flavours should be limited to menthol, tobacco, or nothing.
They were originally designed as a stop smoking tool, but they’ve just turned into a fashion accessory. I actually have a box of vapes and vape batteries that I’ve found dumped on the road and footpaths around where I live, they’re literally everywhere.
It took a long time to eventually stop advertising vapes to kids. Kids buy, vape and throw away and parents are non the wiser.
I stopped smoking 10 months ago. I carry spare coils, juice and a charging cable everywhere I go and often a battery bank for emergency recharge. It’s not difficult.
She’s got 40 vale’s to last a few weeks lol I’ve got one that’s lasted a year.
Nevermind hysterical, she looks and sounds mentally disabled.
Just buy a refillable one and get a grip lmao
