Diaspora citizens wishing to return to the Republic of Moldova have the opportunity to get actively involved in the transposition and effective implementation of EU legislation. Applicants must have knowledge of English and understand both national and European legislation. They should also have developed analytical skills. The call was launched by the Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Cristina Jandic, in an interview with the IPN news agency.

Cristina Jandic noted that bringing Moldovan legislation in line with European standards is a complex process, and there are few qualified people who could carry out this exercise.

The main challenge therefore remains to build the capacity of central public authorities, subordinate agencies and the civil service to understand European legislation and implement it effectively, said the Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

“We need people who have a good knowledge of English, who understand both Moldovan and EU legislation, and who have developed analytical skills. We appeal to our diaspora citizens who want to return to the Republic of Moldova: we want to convey to them that there are real opportunities to get actively involved in this processˮ, said Cristina Jandîc.

Cristina Jandic said that the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection already has four people, including in the management team, who have returned from the diaspora to contribute to the modernization of Moldova.
