The Slovak National Party (SNS) calls on the Prime Minister of the Republic Robert Fico to initiate proceedings in the European Union regarding the shares in the mineral wealth of Ukraine in relation to the European Commission at the next meeting of the European Council. This was stated today by TASR director of the office of the Chairman of SNS Zuzana Shkoptsova.

“Never in the history of any state has there been such a signing of an agreement as President (Vladimir) has done Zelensky in relation to the United States. In terms of volume, EU aid is approaching US aid. If Ukraine transfers all its mineral wealth to the United States, then Ukraine will have nothing to reimburse assistance to European countries,” Shkoptsova said.

SNS Chairman Andriy Danko intends to officially request Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenitsky next Monday to comprehensively quantify the costs of assistance to Ukraine in order to prepare documents for the Prime Minister. According to SNS, Slovakia has helped Ukraine within its capabilities — in the amount of more than three billion euros and should receive compensation for its financial assistance, as the United States has achieved.

“If Ukraine has already decided to pay for assistance to the United States during the conflict with the Russian Federation, then it is unclear why it does not do this in relation to the European Union,” Shkoptsova stressed.

SNS believes that Fico will raise this issue at the next meeting of prime ministers so that they will appeal to the leadership of the European Union.
