LRT, Lithuania’s public broadcaster, has expressed great satisfaction with its performance at Eurovision 2025, both in terms of viewership and social media engagement.

The two semi-finals and the grand final were broadcast on LRT Televizija. Approximately 1.1 million viewers watched at least one minute of the three shows in total. The final had an average viewership of 491,700, while 778,500 tuned in for at least a minute.

LRT also observed significant growth on social media. Posts on the broadcaster’s official Facebook page reached a record 2.7 million views, while its Instagram Reels ranked among the top 10 most-viewed in the country.

Audrius Giržadas, Head of Delegation for Lithuania, stated:

“Lithuania’s participation in Eurovision attracts great public interest every year. In recent years, our representatives have achieved results that could be envied by wealthier countries with long-standing pop music traditions. Since 2021, Lithuania has qualified for the final every year, and three of those entries were performed in Lithuanian. Eurovision is not only an important musical event but also a great opportunity to ensure high-quality output across all LRT platforms.”

LRT also revealed the participation fee for Eurovision 2025. The broadcaster paid 93,108 euros, a decrease compared to 2024. Part of this amount was funded by public voting during Eurovizija.LT, Lithuania’s national final for Eurovision 2025.

This year’s Lithuanian delegation in Basel consisted of 20 people. The majority were members of Katarsis and their creative team, responsible for performance management, visual presentation, and other artistic aspects. The LRT crew, which included eight employees this year, travelled to produce content from the contest. Over this period, dozens of articles, reports, photo galleries, and videos were created, generating record engagement across social platforms.

Audrius Giržadas emphasized:

“The Lithuanian delegation was one of the smallest, but this didn’t stop it from achieving exceptionally high results in both viewership and social media engagement.”

At Eurovision 2025, Lithuania was represented by Katarsis with the song “Tavo Akys”, ending up in 16th place in the Grand Final.
