South African President’s White House Clash May Have Worked

1. This week’s meeting between South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa and US President Donald Trump quickly descended into confrontation.

   Trump pushed false narratives of white genocide in South Africa, while a calm and poised Ramaphosa tried to debunk them and steer the conversation toward trade and diplomatic cooperation.

   Ramaphosa’s gambit may have worked, says Justice Malala: South Africa managed to get the US to pledge to continue engagement on trade and diplomacy.

2. I’m tired of getting Rick Roll’d by half the articles on Reddit. Self promoting your own website, by sharing a news articles behind the paywall YOU created, is just gross. Really gives the vibe Bloomberg is just chasing clicks/profit. I assume this is some sort of sponsored post? If not, I don’t see why we would allow for profit companies to bait and switch us. They’re intentionally wasting our time, in hopes we want to give them money?

   Bloomberg is officially blocked on my Reddit and browser. I won’t make the mistake of clicking one of their links again.
