Since the media is obsessed with Jake Tapper’s book about the drama of how Biden was too old to run again. The fact that we are stuck on Biden being too old while an equally old yet authoritative dude is setting fire to our country in the meantime, is fucking bonkers. Shame on the media.

Trump shouldn’t be president. Biden also shouldn’t have been president. Concealing facts supporting either being unfit is wrong and shouldn’t be accepted and definitely shouldn’t be defended.
He’ll be 79 years old next month. I don’t care what shape you’re in. That’s old. The average lifespan in the US for men is 75 years. I entirely believe that Trump will unfortunately make it to his nineties. But his mind will be long gone by then and that’s not nothing.

These discretion-is-the-better-part-of-valor “journalists” know that attacking a retired, out-of-power, cancer patient is a lot personally safer than attacking the current unstable president, who is a billionaire, owns media platforms, controls the right-wing commentariat and millions of rabid fanatics therein, uses government/personal resources to sue/harm anyone he dislikes. If he wrote a Trump book, at very least, he’d have to update his home’s security system, need heightened security protocol for himself and his family.
Somehow I think the story of his cognitive decline won’t receive breathless recrimination after the fact. We will all be like no shit.
I hate I’m more afraid of a JD Vance presidency, so I’m ready to live four more years with this global embarrassment in charge. I mean regardless democracy is dead, but at least there’s no surprises with Trump. (Especially for those of us who’ve been paying attention the last 8 years)
