In exchange for military support, Russia is providing North Korea with missile and space technologies, and there are indications that this may also include technologies related to nuclear weapons or their enhancement.

Oleh Ivashchenko, chief of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“They are providing them with rocket and space technologies. We do not discount the possibility that these may also include technologies related to nuclear weapons or their improvement,” he said.

As previously reported, North Korea has been supplying Russia with ammunition, 170mm M1989 Koksan artillery systems, 240mm M1991 multiple launch rocket systems, as well as military personnel who are taking part in combat operations alongside Russian forces.

In response, a draft resolution has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, calling on international institutions and national parliaments to recognize the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as an aggressor state.
