Created to scratch a curiosity itch create while car shopping: "are there really that many white trucks" followed by "are 2/3rds of these trucks really black, white, grey or silver?" The answer turned out to be yes on both. Interesting to learn that RGB colors are so much more popular on higher end trim packages.

Data source: auto.dev data on about 4,000 2025 Ford Mavericks available on dealer lots in the U.S. on 2025-05-24. Colors in the charts were sampled directly from Ford's website.

    Because the choices of colour vary by model.

  3. At first I assumed this was about the Ford Maverick I had in high school – a LONG time ago. I hadn’t realized there was a new one. It’s a trip they are reusing the same name for such a radically different vehicle lol.

  4. Less than 19% are actual colors. Bla!
    (I have a yellow MR2, purple Scion XB and a red Fiat 850)

  5. It’s incredibly fucked up that they don’t offer the XL in red. It’s all I want if or when I can get one of these trucks.

  6. Carbonized grey is easily the best imo. But the blue looks super nice too. All the whites and azure gray (so all the most common ones) look samey and boring.

    But I see a lot of them that seem to be used commercially so maybe catering to that.
