1. Susan Swimm, from Glasgow, said her son died as a result of a ‘mindless’ murderous culture that has been allowed to spread through school ‘shooter drills’ and the sale of ‘bullet-proof backpacks’.

   “What has struck me since Rory’s murder is the blame I place on parents of American children who think it is ok their kids are drilled into hiding under desks at school and in closets.

   “What kind of country allows this and what message is that giving to children?”

7. Every school shooting leads to nothing more than thoughts and prayers. This will be no different. This is a country that would rather see children slaughtered than control gun ownership. Already in this thread victim blaming has started. It’s an immediate reaction seen every time this happens. Slaughtering children then engaging in some victim blaming is the way of things now
