  1. I might be being a naive sheeple but am I really suffering actual effects from this data selling thing

  2. Every customer saving 3p would VASTLY outweigh £3m.

4bn liters of milk are sold every year in the UK. 3p times 4bn is £120m. Even if Tesco only sells 10% of the UK’s milk, that’s £12m.

  3. Do you think they don’t do the same with data linked to any non-cash payment method, even if you don’t use your clubcard?

  4. Is it absolutely morally acceptable to steal from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and other price-fixing, cost of living-causing companies.

  5. £3m is low. Just wait till NHS goes and private health buys your food and drinks data. Good luck with health insurance, life insurance, credit checks, bank checks.

  6. Hey look ill take what I can get

I’m too much of a cheapskate to care lol

Plus can’t get scammed by phishing emails if you don’t read ur emails in the first place 😀

  7. Careful, the amount of people in this country that simp for Tesco and billionaires and billion pound companies is mental.

Post this in Tesco sub and you will be killed to death.

  8. Selling your data sucks but the real crime with clubcards at the moment is the supermarkets realising they can can set a single sandwich at £17 and then have a “clubcard price” that’s like £3 or whatever. That’s just flatly price manipulation, that shit should be illegal.

  9. TESCO online: “why are you not getting a clubcard?”

Me: “I don’t want you to sell my data to some cunt!”

TESCO Online: “your account is banned”

  10. Actually it’s 1% cash back so he only really saved 1.6p on a 4 pinter.

  11. Can we just ban this type of shit from this sub? It’s a fucking meme sub, not a socialist circle jerk. And I’ll say the same thing about right wing memes.

  12. I love seeing these memes on social media from people who think they live off the grid, whilst at the same time completely ignoring the fact their social media platform knows more about them than their own families.

I’ll save 3p and not give a shit ta.

  13. Nothing stopping you doing DSARs and asking for your data to be removed periodically.

More people need to make data harvesting a bigger pain in the arse for companies if you ask me, especially if they tack it onto usage.
The protections are right there but I don’t think people realise A: Their data is being taken and B: That they can ask for it to be deleted.

  14. Wait! are you telling me that a multinational corporation is being greedy and decietful?? colour me shocked!

  15. I honestly couldn’t give less of a shit that they know I like milk

  16. Look this is good awareness and all but this is clearly AI slop

  17. Does anyone really give a fk if a data company or supermarket knows what I buy.

In fact it can be a asset as I get discounted offers for some products.

I am far more concerned about on line data collection that’s why I use a VPN
