US, UK and allies to lift all range restrictions on weapons in Ukraine

1. The US, Britain, France and Germany have agreed to lift all remaining range restrictions on the weapons they have given Ukraine, according to the German chancellor.

   The shift, which has yet to be confirmed by Washington, would be not only a symbolic gesture of support from the Trump administration but also a military fillip for Kyiv, which could use western-made cruise missiles to strike up to 200 miles inside Russia instead of confining itself to the border regions.

2. Does that also mean intelligence and targetting assistance?

3. I think several western countries will be very shocked by the reaction of Russia to the targeting of Moscow by French, German or British weapons fired from the Ukraine. This would definitely be seen as an attempt to normalize a new reality by Russia. My bet is that Russia will disproportionately resist the establishment of this new normal.

4. Should have done those 3 years ago. Probably would been done with the war by now.

5. I saw this coming from a mile away. Russia was never going to make peace, Putin was using it to string trump along and now that trump feels disrespected we will probably increase our support for Ukraine.

6. This would have been of more use when Ukraine still had appreciable numbers of Storm Shadow/SCALP EG and/or ATACMS in its inventory.

7. Perhaps they want Russia to nuke Ukraine?

   This will at least fulfil the ”we (you) will fight to the last Ukrainian falls” concept which was coined by Anthony Blinken.

8. Are they not taught how to salute properly or something?
