Mary Byrnes is a Peace Corps volunteer serving in Moldova. Mary is a resident of Edmonds, her parents and grandparents have owned homes in Edmonds for 30+years Mary’s parents are currently stationed in Tashkent, Uzbekistan with the U.S. State Department at the United States Embassy.
Mary is presenting two sessions about her life of serving in a rural community in Moldova, a small mostly rural landlocked country, in Eastern Europe. Moldova has been part of the Romanian Empire and Russian Empires and today is an independent nation.
Mary will be presenting two sessions on Friday, June 13, 2025; at the Lynnwood Library at 12:15 PM and at the Edmonds Library at 2:30 PM.
