  5. I assume the drone was just in the wrong place at the wrong time rather than being actively attacked by the Hind in a rather novel way.

  7. Are flares still effective when deployed that close to the ground? I guess they wouldnt do it if it were pointless, but i imagine it would be more likely for the flares to be obscured and outside an IR seeker’s view, due to foliage.

  8. Im aware they cant exacly go straight up because of the blades and airflow but..

    wondering have they ever considered some sort of ir flare for helis that has a rocket motor in it or charge to kick it away from the helicopter then upward and away to give it more airtime ,though probably wouldn’t be good if another helicopter was close but could maybe shoot upward behind the heli

    Just when a helicopter is flying this low it really seems the flares are only useful for like half a second untill they reach the ground and I’d imagine they don’t work very well on the ground for helping against incoming missiles.

  19. Is this not just a cut version of a older and longer videoclip, where the drone tracks the salvo and also shows the impact area? Pretty sure this is a year or so old anyways.

    Cool shot nonetheless but, this one gets reposted fairly often
