  1. >France’s President Emmanuel Macron warned the US and Europe risked losing their credibility and being accused of “double standards” if they do not resolve the wars in Ukraine and Gaza soon.

Too late little guy, we’re way past that point.

  2. > He stressed the importance of working towards a ceasefire and mutual recognition of a Palestinian state, saying: “If we abandon Gaza, if we consider there is a free pass for Israel, even if we do condemn the terrorist attacks, we kill our own credibility in the rest of the world.”

Is he speaking from November 2023? The governments of the west have completely and totally abandoned Palestine and given a free pass to Israel and lost all credibility doing so. The only thing these countries could do at this point to reverse that state of affairs and show some type of commitment to Palestinians would involve a coalition of the willing launching a full-scale invasion of Israel, administering an intensive denazification program, and holding trials for basically anyone involved in their political or military structure at any level.

  3. And who made the West lose it, Mr Macron? Who is the one doing a lot of talking, but very little doing? Who gives homeopathic doses of support to Ukraine, while thousands of Ukrainian man die in trenches? Who enables Hamas propaganda to penetrate the West and betray the only Western country in the Middle East?

  4. What about Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, how about the genocide in gaza, Yemen, sudan and and inability to focus on world changing matters instead of which toilet people use….

Sorry zelensky…our credibility is long gone.

  5. I figured the US already lost all credibility after fucking all of our allies, tariffing everyone, pulling out of every global group that matters and lying to literally everyone.

  6. Lmao. He says, after unwaveringly supporting Israel for two years. And now he’s doing the same as always : too little, too late.

The only reason for this is public opinion is turning against Israel, and now he’s doing a PR flip to be seen as having been on the right side of things. It’s pathetic.

    >Macron pointed out that if Russia could take Ukrainian territory “without any restrictions, without any constraints… what could happen in Taiwan? What will you do the day something happens in the Philippines?”

Let’s be honest, Taiwan is screwed, there’s really no use to the constant western whining about China taking them back. The Philippines might be okay, depends on whether they want to become a US territory again – separating from us in 1946 was probably a mistake on their part.

And the damage to our credibility is already done. That was over on the moment Biden treated Israel’s heavy handed tactics the exact opposite way he talked about Russia’s invasion. It put the lie to the idea that our interventions are humanitarian in nature and laid bare that it’s all just a geopolitical agenda. If you’re an ally we’ll forgive the most heinous crimes and if you’re an enemy we’ll invent something to condemn you for.

The reputational damage wasn’t really the worst part – it was ruining the neutrality of our financial system and showing that we’re happy to seize assets and accounts including foreign exchange funds and bond payments, trying to force other countries to default on their debts. The global financial system was basically the jewel in our crown so alienating the BRICS players was a big mistake especially when they’re our suppliers and it facilitates trade. Not to mention they’re now divesting our debt, which is a problem since we rely heavily on cheap debt for our prosperity.
