Meghan Markle is set to shine on the West Coast as the Royal Family takes centre stage across the Atlantic in London.
According to the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County, the Duchess of Sussex will be honoured at their Night of Wonder gala on June 14 — the same evening as Trooping the Colour, King Charles’ official birthday celebration.
While Prince William, Princess Kate, and King Charles are expected to reunite on Buckingham Palace’s balcony for the annual RAF fly-past, Prince Harry’s wife will be making headlines in California.
The star-studded gala at Exposition Park will recognise her efforts to uplift women and underserved communities.
“We are proud to honor Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity aligns with our equity-focused approach,” said museum president Lori Bettison-Varga.
The mom-of-two, who will deliver remarks during the evening, is expected to be joined by a crowd of L.A.’s cultural and philanthropic elite.
Back in London, all eyes will be on the Trooping the Colour parade, where senior royals are expected to attend — including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are also expected to be present, though the exact attendance has not been confirmed.
