  1. SS: UN Secretary General has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of over 60 humanitarian workers, including 13 UN staff, who were arbitrarily detained by Yemen’s Houthi rebels since June 2024.

    The Houthis, accused of using espionage claims as a pretext, continue to deny detainees contact with families or access to legal processes.

    The detentions have severely hindered aid operations in a country already facing one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.

    Conditions in detention are reportedly inhumane, with disease outbreaks and mistreatment, particularly of women.
