In order to meet the need for a better quality 4G and 5G network, Eronet has issued a statement to urge users to replace their 3G card with new 4G SIM cards in a timely manner, so that they can use mobile services abroad without interruption. This follows the imminent shutdown of the 3G network in the EU. This also applies to Croatia, where, for example, Hrvatski Telekom completely shut down its 3G network at the beginning of this year, and other operators have also started shutting down.

Shutting down the 3G network does not affect the user experience; voice and SMS services are used as usual, while the internet is primarily provided via 4G and 5G networks. According to Eronet, it is important to replace the old SIM card with a new one, so that mobile services can be used undisturbed during visits abroad, as well as at home.
