Haven't seen them by Waterloo for ages. They used to set up at the bottom of the stairs by the entrance. Their man today had posted himself in the arches a bit further away.
Usual nonsense from trying to guilt trip people into donations.

  1. These constant posts are promoting this group more than anything else they do. Mods delete them?

  2. We Are Blighty are the new Lime bikes on pavements on this sub

  3. These posts are so tedious
    “Spotted at blah blah station”
    … Okay?

  4. Saw them outside the main entrance to the station at 8am this morning with police talking to them. Maybe they just moved them along a bit.

  5. The law should be changed so the police have the power to remove them. There used to be and may still be a law about house to house collections, it should be extended.

Such a law change would have significant public support.

  6. Well he ain giving a shit what we think 🤔 too fuckin busy scratching his BAWS

  7. I don’t see the issue.

Dude’s out there trying to earn an income (probably has rent to pay a landlord) by raising money for his employer.

This is what’s known as capitalism. The fact that he harasses people, probably commuters, on the street, is just part of the system. The whole point – or the name of the game – is to make as much money as possible for minimum outlay – and if you have to lie, cheat, exploit other people (especially those in worse circumstances), bully, extort, bribe, set up a racket, defraud, or even rip off other people then that’s what you do.

Ever considered that maybe half the people he meets are doing the exact same thing as him, but in different ways from the comfort of their offices and with fancier job titles?

Welcome to London, capital of the UK. This is our system. This is how it works and how it is designed to work.

I get that it’s not pleasant having to deal with people like him, but pleasantness and ethics aren’t really important in our system. It’s all about the money.

  8. They are also set up on the south side of London Bridge today too on my walk to work this morning around 830am.

  9. Can we start pranking them or something; instead of just posting pictures (which raises awareness but still, they don’t seem to give up).

  10. Ok guys we get it. You’ve turned this sub into a Blighty trail.

  11. I was going to ask why these posts keep showing up, but I think I get it.

It’s just something to moan about. That’s it.
