Beautiful catch! They’re amazing to see in flight.
Saw the flag, read the title as “Grey Heron in *fight*.
Great capture, I’ve never managed to catch one in flight – but a bit over-processed for my taste.
Awesome timing. Such a cool shot.
They’re so like a dinosaur which of course they’re related to.
Afternoon delight
100% thought this was a ballet dancer
Majestic
what’s the lens?
Very nice.
Herons always look like they’ve been drawn by Quintin Blake
I once had a stork fly past me when I was cycling on the canal one time and I thought that was impressive.
That is incredible mate.
That is a fucking *stunning* photograph from all aspects. Bloody well done.
Fantastic shot. Very lucky to see too.
One lands on my neighbours garage roof every morning, it’s cool to see up close from my back window.
Afternoon delight!
I love them…. except when they are sitting by my pond! Great shot mate….
Nice shitepoke.
Beautiful birds, though I am a tad fed up of going outside in the morning with one sat on my patio looking at my pond!
This is one of those incredible wildlife shots that I used to see at RSPCA photographer exhibitions, and then underneath it would say “shot by Hamish, age 7 1/2“ and I basically dropkicked my DSLR through a plate glass window and walked off in a mixture of anger and disgust at how much better some people are at photography.
