I think it’s great that they love traffic! They can have all of ours while the rest of us enjoy a life of newly-liveable streets.
Presumably, WDAG has some alternative ideas to curtail the every-increasing traffic in that part of London?
It’s Lambeth Council. LTN is in West Dulwich. Click saved.
It’s always good to have a mate of yours be the judge of the case you’re taking to court.
I wonder what happens if Lambeth decides to appeal to another court.
Whilst unfamiliar with the West Dulwich LTN, the other LTN’s Lambeth have implemented are often ill thought out and poorly communicated. While I largely agree with LTN’s, Lambeth have not put the necessary infrastructure in place ahead of launching LTN’s.
The streatham hill LTN from a year or so ago springs to mind. Implemented with no foresight of what would happen on Streatham Hill/A23.

LTNs are simple another money making scam by councils. They have zero practical effect on the environment.
I got fined £60 for going into one of these streets eighteen seconds before the restrictions ended. They were justified on the basis that it was to reduce traffic past schools in the mornings and afternoons. That argument may have won more support if the restrictions didn’t apply at weekends and during the school holidays.
One of the LTN’s tried in Redbridge was removed after a few months. It did not do much for traffic, overall, but made it very difficult for the people who actually lived on the roads to use their cars – in some cases, turning a 200m trip to the supermarket into a 2km trip. Luckily (or sensibly) the council removed it before the legal process was initiated
