The Republic of Moldova has opened an honorary Consulate in the city of Heiloo, the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, also attended the inauguration, as reported by IPN.
“Today’s event is proof that we have managed to build a strong partnership with the local authorities here. Through this consulate, we aim to promote even more strongly our local culture, traditions and products on the Dutch market”, stated the legislative leader.
The President of the Parliament emphasized that the authorities will continue to expand the consular network, so that every Moldovan, wherever they may be, can feel at home.
The honorary consul is Vera Stupenea, who settled in the Kingdom of the Netherlands 28 years ago. She is the author of several school manuals and an active promoter of Moldovan values.
