One month out from celebrating their milestone five-year wedding anniversary, Princess Beatrice and her husband snuck out of the country for a kid-free getaway.
The two are parents to three kids: daughters Sienna and Athena and son Wolfie, who is Edo’s child from a previous relationship.
While the time away was effectively a work trip—they were attending a conference—they did get to see John Legend perform while there.
Ahead of their five-year wedding anniversary this summer, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi snuck away for a trip out of the U.K.—and even got to see John Legend perform.
Per Hello!, Bea and Edo headed to Stockholm, Sweden recently sans daughters Sienna and Athena and son Christopher Woolf—affectionately called Wolfie—who is Edo’s son from a previous relationship. While the couple’s trip to Sweden wasn’t all play and no work—the pair took part in the Brilliant Minds Foundation conference while there—they did get to see Legend entertain attendees, with Edo posting footage on social media of the singer performing his hit “All of Me” (a romantic song for a romantic, kid-free getaway, indeed).

The Brilliant Minds Foundation conference, according to Hello!, is “an exclusive annual gathering known for bringing together some of the world’s most influential creative minds” that connects innovators, thought leaders, storytellers, and celebrities “committed to discussing transformative ideas.”
Beatrice has attended the conference twice before, in 2019 and just last year, in 2024. She attended last year as the founder of BY-EQ, an advisory organization that Hello! reported was focused on emotional intelligence in an age of artificial intelligence. (The BY, by the way, no doubt stands for Beatrice York, as her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are the Duke and Duchess of York, and she and sister Princess Eugenie have long been known as the York sisters.)

Beatrice also serves as the vice president of partnerships and strategy at Afiniti, a U.S. software company. Edo, not to be outdone, is the founder and CEO of Banda Property, a property development and interior design company based in London.
Beatrice has had a busy 2025 after welcoming daughter Athena prematurely in January and returning to public life just two months later, making various appearances everywhere from the U.K. to New York City to, now, Sweden. Hello!’s Andrea Caamano said on the outlet’s “A Right Royal Podcast” that the elder daughter of Andrew and Fergie “has been remarkably consistent in not giving away details of her private life—she kept her wedding a secret, we barely see her children, and her social media is limited to family and friends.” (It’s true—unlike her husband Edo and sister Eugenie, Beatrice’s social media profiles are only for her inner circle.)

“Royals have been exposed to the media for years, so it’s completely understandable that when it comes to their love or home life, they try to keep that out of the public eye,” Caamano added.
That said, Edo occasionally shares romantic glimpses into their bond on his social media, writing for their fourth wedding anniversary last July, “Happy 4th wedding anniversary my love. Every day is so special with you. I love you so much.”
For a previous anniversary, Edo sweetly wrote, “Happy wedding anniversary to the most beautiful wife in the world. I am so grateful for every moment we have shared, every challenge we have overcome, and every dream we have pursued together. I love you more than words can say, and I can’t wait to celebrate many more anniversaries with you.”
