“Katherine Greenall stole nearly half a million pounds from her employer while working as accounts manager for a vehicle purchasing company.”
Bullshit headlines as usual.
No more TikTok bit more lock up
She’s not going to prison for her TikTok addiction. She’s going go jail for stealing half a million pounds from her employer. Just to clarify.
“In total, Greenall managed to con her employer out of a whopping £443,523.26 through 121 separate transactions. She then splashed out £301,162.55 on TikTok tokens between February 2024 and April 2025”
“The missing funds eventually aroused suspicion among senior management, with the issue of lower than anticipated profits being brought up”
This leaves me wondering whether the thefts would have gone unnoticed if she only stole the 140k she spent on herself and didn’t steal the 300k that was wasted on TikTok, either way, what an insane story.
She spent £300k on… TikTok tokens?
I don’t even know what they are.
If I stole almost half a million, I could think of better ways to spend it, rather than giving the money to TikTok creators.
Didn’t she go to prison for theft?

Ha they always burying it.
She spent most of the money on herself.
I’ve done a fair bit of work with gambling addiction and financial crimes. Some are genuine addicts who commit crime but it all goes on gambling, all of it, to the point they are basically living on beans on toast. Then there are those who claim a gambling addiction yet most of the stolen funds goes on clothes, holidays etc. Guess which one gets jail time?
Even with that. She stole 450k, spent 300k on tiktok. Tiktok carries some of the blame. TikTok knows that it offers an addictive service. Like gambling companies know they do. They shouldn’t be allowed to just turn a blind eye, not ask any questions, and take such absurd money from individuals. £300k in less than a year is absurd, truly absurd.
We have a legal principle of unjust enrichment, it should absolutely cover situations like this. Being privy to a lot of the shady practices of the gambling industry, I would be very surprised if TikTok hasn’t made the defrauded company whole with a nice NDA.
That is a HUGE pair of spectacles she is wearing. Not at all flattering.
300k on tik toc? What a loser lmao
