Progress in the European integration process of Moldova, the security situation in the region, and the fight against hybrid threats were discussed during a meeting between the President of the Moldovan Parliament, Igor Grosu, and the President of the Bundestag, Julia Klockner, in Berlin.

Igor Grosu highlighted the strong collaboration with Germany, which over the years has contributed to the development of Moldovan institutions, the modernization of educational and medical infrastructure, as well as efforts for the country’s energy independence, IPN reports.

“Berlin remains a valuable and trustworthy partner of the Republic of Moldova and will support us by providing the necessary assistance on our path towards European integration. Our goal is very clear: to open all negotiating chapters by the end of the year, and Germany is with us on this journey”, stated Igor Grosu.

Moreover, the leader of the legislature thanked for the support provided in the last three decades, also mentioning the expansion of air connections between the Republic of Moldova and several German cities.
