On January 5th, the Secretary of the Army placed significant restrictions on the DCNG(DC national guard), stipulating that the Commander of the DCNG (DC National Guard) could not move troops to the Capitol on January 6th and 7th without the Secretary of the Army’s explicit permission.
Because of this, there was 1100 DC national guard available and ready on the national Mall ready to respond with orders not to. Interviews with the national guard troops that were ordered not to respond to the capital were furious and they had done everything they could so the second they had the order they could respond.
Because the National guard units hands retired the actual first people on the scene were fully mobilized police forces from the state of Maryland, and Virginia, at the bequest of the mayor.
In fact once the DC National Guard got the order they were on the scene within 3 minutes with full force within five to seven.
Effectively Trump ordered the Department of defense to restrict the movement of the national guard to make it more likely that the insurrection would succeed.
This was one of the major linchpins that made Trump culpable for the insurrection.

It was also her decision to prop up feckless leaders like Feinstein, while slamming those of us who begged her for help. And it was your decision to continue supporting her, despite her record of favoring the billionaires over the little people.
Few things are easier than winning elections against democrats, or doing really anything that democrats disagree with. You’ll get a strongly worded letter that you’ll promptly ignore. And maybe they’ll go for a walk, call it a protest, and accomplish nothing other than getting their step counts up. Fucking useless cowards.
