  1. Most empty city per capita!!!

    I don’t know what that means….

  2. Sounds good to me, high density population = crazy house prices.

  3. American cities are so fuckin empty it’s almost funny.

  4. What this really shows is that y*nks suck at building cities.

  5. It is a shame when our former colony, has half of our population but almost twice our GDP.

(NYC proper, not the larger metro as shown here)

  6. Our country is basically a glorified farm. 48% of land is farmland btw.

  7. Ah yes, my favourite three cities: Randstad, Nederland and Ruhrgebiet.

  8. it’s not that empty, actually. Netherlands has a population density of 520/km^(2) at 41,865 km^(2). When compared to other metro areas presented in this picture:

    – NYC Metro area has a population density of 1,226.2/km^(2), with the total Metro area spanning 15,901 km^(2).
    – LA CSA area has a population density of 208.9/km^(2), at 87,940 km^(2).
    – Chicago Metro area has a population density of 530/km^(2), at 17,930 km^(2) and a CSA population density of 360/km^(2), at 27,540 km^(2).

Data from Wiki. I don’t think you can conclude that Netherlands is empty just because the population is more “spread” out. Yeah, of course, New York is more than double, but that’s not even that enormous.

  9. I never heard of a country named Holland. This is probably created by a savage from New England

  10. 🤣 Speaks about Holland. Proceeds to show an image of the Netherlands.

  11. Playing tall: a strategy “””Jan Kees””” (USA) doesn’t understand.

  12. Ok so I see 4 huge empty American cities, 2 normal sized European ones, two German places that aren’t cities, and one country.. who the fuck made this shit?

  13. I don’t know what that title is trying to say, because there are legit farmers and shit in the areas between our black dots.

  14. Using US cities as comparison is not good imo since they are unnaturally sprawled out to comparably sized cities (in pop size). You can see this with the compared old World cities aswell. Sadly no Asian cities being compared here as that would truly bring home how densely built our way of life is. Which I really love

  15. Excuse me, but Breda is absolutely not a part of de Randstad.

  16. The funniest part about this is you can do this for practically any country, just NL is smaller but the hague has 6000 residents per km2. Our average population density is one of the highest and about 15 times the average of USA. but if we decide to make NL a city please for the love of everything leave out URK
