  1. Can’t wait for people who’ve never set foot in London to lose their minds over this.

  2. I will be hanging around this thread for a while I think.

  3. I wonder what those who are upset at this (which costs nothing) think of Boris putting a 29yo with no achievements in the House of Lords for life with all the taxpayer money and power that comes with the title.

  4. Joining the audience of the absolute hurricane of a shitshow that is going to appear in this comment section 🍿

  5. Reject knighthood. Made up sham just like their titles.

David Bowie, Stephen Hawking are greater for rejecting it.

  6. More people in the comments talking about how the thread is gonna be interesting rather than any actual spicy comments

  7. Gonna be tough for the Telegraph tomorrow, why couldn’t he just refuse it, and be an ungrateful child of immigrants, (subcategory: non-white) and hate the king and Britain?

Instead they’ll have to run a tedious series of opeds about how unworthy he is since he personally made London the unliveable hellhole that they still have to visit for the Soectator Garden Party and to get the good coke at the Carlton Club.

    Selfish selfish Sadiq.

  8. I mean, the fact that he was elected for a third term shows that Londoners trust him.

Even after the expansion of the congestion – ULEZ zone that some drivers were furious about, he still got voted in again.

    Well done

  9. Is it time for King Charles to step down to William? Clearly hes not of sound mind… And i’m only saying this as i don’t think its right that an actively payrolled politician should be knighted for actions of their job, if he was doing hugely positive societal activities outside of his job role then he would at least deserve a title.

  10. Gammon will be absolutely frothing. This might be the chance to get rid of the Honours system

  11. dunno what on earth hes done to deserve this? for me this city has only gotten shitter last few years tbh.

  12. The gammons are going to lose their minds over this 😀

  13. well deserved. more power to him. can he run for another term? or are there mayoral limits?

  14. Daily Mail “readers” are losing their minds over this haha

  15. Certainly more deserved than some of the titles that the previous government dished out.

  16. Has he been perfect, no. Has he made things better, yes. Good on him getting this. In a sea of grifters and talking heads at least he’s decent and seems to actually care about the people who live in London.

  17. Good for him. I like him. Voted for him. But I’m sure many people who do not live in London will complain, had he had a different skin tone I suspect they wouldn’t care

  18. Finally someone getting a knighthood that actually deserves it.

This man works tirelessly for the sake of all Londoners whether they like him or not.
He’s made more changes to improve the lives and livelihoods of everyone, than any other mayoral predecessor.

    Well done.
