I read that these aren’t legal tender but is there any other purpose for them or way to sell them? Most of the coins look unused and are from 1960-1990. Found in a relatives basement, about 1/3 of their franc coins pictured.

  1. I keep them. They prob wont increase in value but it’s not like it takes up allot of space

  2. Some balloons, French onion soup and a bean burrito, lots of lube and these will make for great kids´ party entertainment.

  3. I remember receiving approximately that amount of 1 franks from my uncle and feeling very rich.

  4. I use my collection of 5 francs for shopping trolley. Same size as €1
The 20francs are the same size as 50 cent

  5. I’m sure u can find vending machines that still take them

  6. I don’t think you can still change coins, I even doubt if they would still change notes. If they do, only at the ‘nationale bank’.

I would save ’em though, maybe pass ’em to a next generation?

    it’s a nice start for a coin collection…

  7. You could see how many of them you can shove up your ass?!

  8. Drill a gaatje er in and use them as rondellekes.

  9. Back in my day i could have bought a whole candy factory with this
