Serbia, long Russia friendly, switches to Ukraine in a stunning move. More states to follow?

  1. Let the words be followed by action first. Otherwise, they are simply promises made by people who should not be trusted outright.

  2. Since Orban is on the hot seat, I truly wonder if it is because his stance on Ukraine is unpopular. Or if the ruzzian check bounced for both Orban and Serbia 😂

  3. I don’t believe this. Didn’t this cunt attend the big turd’s parade?

  4. My country waged defensive war against Serbs in 90’s and only thing I can be certain of if that you can’t trust them. Vucic is trying to sit on both chairs, but it’s not going so well. You have many Serbs who are fighting on Russian side and destroying those cities which he wants to rebuild. Serbia is trying to make profit from this war by selling weapons to Ukraine and that’s their main and only motive.

  5. As long as it’s coming from a place of wholesomeness, cool. Otherwise I feel like they have some plan to take advantage or scam.

Enemies don’t suddenly become friends without a reason.

  6. Where is the switch? They always said they support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and you should understand that because they want Kosovo back under their influence (supporting separatism of Donbas, implicitly is supporting separatism movements like the one in Kosovo). Check how Serbia voted in the last UN security council resolutions on this topic. But appart from that, at declaration levels, Serbia was always a state with very friendly russian relations, and sides with Putin in this war.

  7. This is not a switch. Vučić’s strategy has always been about playing the double game and extracting the best from both sides, just like Yugoslavia did. Despite all the pressure, his strategy remains consistent.

  8. What happened in Serbia that would make Vucic change his tone? Sounds like an attempt to try and get into the EU

  9. Hmm. IMHO that would be one side channel Putin itself could be using as plausible deniability…

  10. Lol guys dont trust this moron vucic, fuckin lier , we are protesting more than 7months against him, he is trying to play on all side
    Never believe this fucking shit

  11. He probably wants Serbia’s EU membership to be approved

  12. Make me wonder what intelligence is being passed around that’s making decision makers change their minds?

Russia not only took a bloody nose when they lost those planes last week, they’ve failed to show strategically they can coordinate and execute anything half as well thought out as a strike on anything comparable in Ukraine. Every drone/ballistic missile strike is wasted attacking symbolic targets and civilian high rises whereas Ukraine correctly continues to target Russian weapons manufacturing, logistics, senior officer command posts, assassinations on Russian soil, etc.

Most importantly, Russian arsenals aren’t anywhere near as expansive as they were three years ago, and even if they get close to Sumy, Kharkiv, or Pokrovsk the artillery disparity went down from 10-1 to 2-1 if not lower. Sure the RU still has bodies to their into fruitless assaults on hamlets to gain individual kms of ground everyday, but a thousand casualties a day is disastrous for any military including one that doesn’t care about a human cost because it’s still a viable resource that’s being expended.

  13. Serbia is a Russian vassal. I would not trust this as far as I could throw it.

  14. something tells me if hungary and serbia making other sounds now, then something must have changed their minds. can it b that they now also see russia aint gonna win and gonna b in a lot of troubles for the years to come?

mmw, these are signs and im lifting, elavating what i allready got, and thats my believe, my faith ukraine will win this and get all land back.

  15. What a coincidence that orban started talking negatively about russian incompetence yesterday…

  16. Serbia won’t ever switch to the Ukraine side. Stop lying yourselves.

  17. He has the whole time supported ukraines territorial integrity. It’s not because he loves Ukraine or hates Russia it’s because of Kosovo

  18. Oh wow, only a month passed since he enjoyed the parade in Moscow.

  19. Nice for Ukraine. They can now be confident that Serbia is going to rebuild two cities. /sarcasm

  20. He can start by sending weapons. A lots of them. And then continue to do so.

  21. On the one hand I tell myself that any new support (serious support, and that remains to be verified) for Ukraine is a good thing to take, on the other hand I don’t want support for Ukraine to help bad leaders rebuild a good reputation.

Looking back on history, this remains a good sign for Ukraine.

  22. The reason why this has come about as of late is an ammunition factory in Serbia that was supposedly supplying ammo to Ukraine was blown up a day after Russia accused Serbia of providing ammo to Ukraine. Now, a lot of you are having understandable trust issues with Serbia, but remember this. Serbians are well known for holding grudges, and Russia just gave em a reason to do so.

  23. I wouldn’t be so sure. Vucic probably supports “territorial integrity” because Serbia doesn’t recognize Kosovo, so if he supported Russia he’d have to do more mental gymnastics to justify why the “separatists” in Ukraine are okay, but not in Kosovo. Its just easier for him to kill two birds with one stone: 1) Uphold the idea of territorial integrity ; 2) Cozy up to the West via aid to Ukraine.

  24. One or two? That’s so nice!

Now we only need thousands more countries to chime in and we almost have all cities destroyed by russia covered.

These slimy fucks can go f themselves. If only their voters would stop voting vile opportunistic morons into office after getting baited by propaganda for dumb people.

  25. That’s not stunning and that’s not a change. Vucic tries to satisfy the EU and Russia. Just warm words, nothing more. In the end Serbia would never do something to anger RuSSia.

  26. It’s a trick. Garbage people don’t just become nice all of a sudden for no reason. He probably wants support because a lot of Serbians are demanding his resignation.

  27. Are they on Ukraine’s side? Did they call for Russia to leave Ukraine including Crimea?

  28. Vucic probably doing this because the EU is being has been complicity silent about the Serb protests. Plus it makes Vucic look better domestically because it shows he’s european aligned for the pro-eu population.

  29. Does Serbia have extra stocks of Russian heating gas ready to use for the next winter?
