UK to Send £1.7 Billion of RapidRanger Air Defense Systems and Martlet Missiles to Ukraine

1. I wonder if this was because the trump regime diverted the essential missiles Ukraine had been waiting for –  to the middle east.

   Well done UK, whilst there are problems, I’ve found both conservatives and labour to be worthy protectors of the UK and our allies on the international stage.

   Hopefully there has been a lot more going on in the background with the likes of UK, Canada, EU etc for when the trump regime decides to entirely cut ukraine off.

2. We have to stop reacting to this stuff *after* events. If it could be sent, why was this stuff not sent before?

   Britain is in a unique position among European nations to go all in on equipping Ukrainian land forces. We have incredible resources in the air and on the sea and we should use the strategic depth that offers to do the right thing and say fill your boots Vlodymyr.

   What is the utility of all this stuff sat in stores in Britain waiting for the next Ukrainian setback?

5. So they are giving £1.7m of UK tax payers money to Ukraine, to buy RapidRanger and Martlet which are both French?

7. How much of that 1.7bn is the sale price the uk paid for them or the current depreciated asset price? Because it might be better to report numbers instead, like is this like 1000 missiles or like 100k missiles
