Seems the old school tie boys club is more brazen in showing its influence?
Starmer needs to change leadership at the BBC and put someone genuinely impartial in
It’s shocking how much air time that frog faced grifter gets…… If he gets into power (which I seriously doubt) then I for one am outta here….
Did the same for UKIP and even the BNP going back far enough. Reform arguably the most dangerous because of the level of public support they have at the moment. And given the easiest ride of any political party by the BBC.
Laura K prefers the basic personality stories – a focus on gossip rather than policy.
Along with the likes of Adam Fleming, they are both a disgrace.
What’s your thoughts on it Brummy? Or are you just finding some nice looking headlines?

Surprised to see a story with that headline in a Scottish Unionist paper.
they never stop
that arsehole is never of the telly
they keep ‘telling us’ what reform thinks
when they – percentage-wise – represent so few

2 years ago I made the conscious decision to stop watching all news sources.
I read the private eye, and the financial times and fuck about on reddit a lot.
I am becoming more and more liberal 🤷♀️
So the Herald has finally noticed? All the months before the Independence Referendum when the BBC actively shaped the political landscape with reporting which was a pick and mix of selective, creative and openly hostile to one side? That an organisation which was then further nudged to the right by successive Tory appointments should try the same tactics on a UK scale is a surprise? Where are the competent, even handed, thoughtful news reporters and commentators that we so desperately need, the present generation have let us down badly.
If the BBC don’t give them time they will be accused of marginalising a party who are polling higher than everyone else .
It’s funny how the BBC are accused by all sides .
I’m not sure how to get the figures myself, other than trawling through the listings, but I’m pretty sure that Farage would be in the top % of guest appearances on QT and the Sunday 9am political slot over the last 15 years or so.
Granted, it’s probably due to the fact that all other UKIP/Reform politicians are unknowns/arseholes and therefore, Farage is the face of the party. However, he appears to be on the TV more than the leaders of the opposition parties and government ministers and doesn’t get the same level of pushback as normal politicians.
As detestable as Farage is censoring an official MP would make us a fascist state and no better than him. Talk sense.
I think the problem is the whole journalism industry. It has effective stopped being a profession. They’re extremely easily fooled by the strategies used by marketing companies and PR agencies into reporting promotional press releases as if they were real news. There doesn’t seem to be anyone in the industry saying “no, the views of think tanks and lobbyists are not news, they’re just noise.”.
