1. Got it, if the people can’t see the public land from their backyard, it shouldn’t be public land.

   Mind you, Montana senator Steve Daines purposefully cut out his entire state selling of public lands because he’s up for reelection, making the out of reach argument BS. I’m so sick of this timeline and the GTP intentionally ruining everything in this country.

2. This is absolutely disgusting! These people should be thrown to the wolves.

3. Doesn’t matter. They will still make some donors richer in the process.

4. It’s not for housing. This is a giveaway to miners, ranchers, loggers, and oil drillers. Most of this land has few other uses.

5. Why should the feds be dealing with affordable housing? This is a state issue and states should be handling it like any other crisis/emergency/catastrophe. If states want more land for housing, let them sell off state trust lands.

   /s (mostly) – Utah is one of the biggest proponents of getting federal lands turned over to states, land Utah gave up to become a state in lieu of cash. Monuments not part of the deal? Remember Zinke was involved in massively reducing units like Grand Staircase-Escalante, one of the historically more contentious resource exploitation areas (grazing and mining) that I’m sure Utah would love to get its hands on. We all know this has jack to do with housing, especially since giving land to private industry for resource exploitation is part of the bill
