On the night of 11–12 June 2025, a brutal attack on a 24-year-old woman took place near Glazja Park in Toruń. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The police are treating the incident as attempted murder.

The court decided to remand the 19-year-old Venezuelan citizen, suspected of a brutal attack on a 24-year-old woman in Toruń's Glazja Park, in custody for three months. The attacker most likely stabbed the victim in the chest, head and neck. The woman is still in hospital in a serious condition.

Today, he was charged with attempted murder. The suspect refused to comment on the charge or provide explanations, and refused to answer questions. Today, the prosecutor filed a motion for the suspect to be remanded in custody for three months," said prosecutor Rafał Ruta.

In the course of further proceedings, the prosecutor's office will investigate all the circumstances of the case. The possibility of a sexual assault will also be considered. Experts in medicine, biology and bloodstain analysis will also be called in. A psychiatric opinion on the suspect will also be issued.
