Going to a naturist beach for the first time!
Parkrun, car show, farmer market, Rugby final on TV. That’s day sorted.
Wife’s got something on with friends so be working on a new model kit (30 minutes missions) then read (J.B. Priestley’s “English Journey”) until calling the kid to figure out our D&D one shot for tomorrow. Probably prep some chocolate chip cookie dough as well.
We didn’t get the promised thunderstorm last night, just a bit of rain, so it’s gone rather humid.
Managed to get a plugin submitted to the WordPress directory, so if it gets approved, I’ll have my first official plugin listed! Wooo.
Celebrating my lad’s 6th birthday with family.
Spent yesterday prepping, bought the lad’s present (Zuru Smasher and a couple of Godzilla x Kong figures).
Got some chicken legs and ribs cooked in the oven last night to get ahead of the game a bit. Just needs finishing on the bbq to get some nice caramelisation and charring.
Plenty of booze and snacks on hand.
Family should start arriving around 11:00.
Cake lady best come through with the Stitch themed cake!
Sleep was not my friend last night. Stupidly muggy and if it rained, it wasn’t much.
Going to be a long day at work today.
Walk the dog, get the food shop done and then cinema for ‘how to train your dragon’ – real rock and roll stuff
I’m hoping that the back garden will have dried out within a few hours as it desperately needs doing.
Dependent on the heat level as to what else can be achieved.
Looking after the inlaws Highland terrier for the weekend whilst they go walking, the ol boy can’t walk far now day 😔 He’s never stayed with us before so he’s being treated like a King this weekend and going to the pub later for a 4oz steak doggie dinner with our little ol dogas well, can’t wait 🥩
I’m sure I’ll find something fun to do somewhere close to Bristol
As little as possible
Having a bbq to celebrate my 30th! So I am currently praying to the weather gods that it doesn’t rain!!!
Going on 3 days without sleep, so spending the day in bed just resting.
On another note, I just want to thank everyone in this sub for being so lovely! Over the years, I’ve posted things I’m celebrating, venting frustrations and asking for advice. Everyone always comes through and it’s been such a boon to lean on this community during rough times. Thank you all!
Getting out of bed in a minute and cooking a fry up as I feel like I’ve been run over after two nights out on the trot and last night was in the rain, I don’t drink either. Then off to in laws later to see my niece who turned 3 yesterday
I’m hoping for a quieter day with the duck visitors. Because it was hot, they all came later and collided last night
The saying 2s company 3s a crowd has never been more apt (add a lady to the mix and all hell breaks loose)
I am mid house move. Had a much needed early night at the old place last night, I’m absolutely knackered and was expecting coma-like sleep for a good 10 hours, but Mother Nature had other plans and there was the most storm I’ve experienced in all the years I’ve lived here. 3 hours of almost constant thunder and lightning, torrential rain, and so windy that water was being forced under the front door, which has never happened before. The hallway carpet is soaked and all of my towels apart from the one I need for this morning’s shower are already at the new place so I’ll be taking the hair dryer to it as soon as I’m sufficiently caffeinated.
Parkrun tourism and then meal out for lunch
Tidying up the house ready for MIL to arrive at lunch time
D&D for me today. Trouble is all of us are a bit sleep deprived because we were watching the storm last night. Worth it! That was an amazing storm!
LCD soundsystem tonight!
Today is the greatest day of the year.
I shall start with coffee, then (probably) a bowel movement, following that, off to Parkrun and some domestic chores before settling in for the 24 hours of Le Mans.
See you all tired and bleary on Sunday afternoon – just in time for the Canadian GP
