The coming week is quieter in terms of corporate results on either side of the Atlantic but will be busy with central bank decision-making and analysis.

Thursday’s announcement from the Bank of England will be preceded by the US Federal Reserve on Wednesday and the Bank of Japan on Tuesday. 

London company news is scheduled from Ashtead, Berkeley, Speedy Hire and Whitbread to provide some grease for the market’s wheels. 

Thursday will also be the 30th anniversary of London’s junior market, with the London Stock Exchange holding a market open ceremony that will “bring together individuals, companies, intermediaries, policy makers and investors who have made a significant contribution to AIM”.
