Aktor constructors eye expansion in Romania

Aktor Concessions. Ellaktor and Aktor Group of Companies have agreed to enter a period of exclusive negotiations until April 30, regarding the acquisition of Aktor Concessions by Aktor Group, in the context of the latter’s offer that satisfies the demands of Ellaktor’s two major shareholders, Reggeborgh Invest and Motor Oil.

The Aktor Group is planning to further expand its presence in the Romanian construction market in the coming months and years.

The management’s goal is to submit bids in a series of new competitions for railway and road projects that are expected to be put out to tender in the coming period. In this context, the Athens-listed group will participate in tenders for projects with a total budget of 3.7 billion euros.

Of these, €1.8 and €1 billion concern two individual railway network projects, in the wider Brasov area, where the company already has a presence with installed TBMs, an element that gives it a strategic advantage over the competition. In addition, €900 million concerns a new road project, which will also be of interest to the Greek group.

Aktor has already developed a significant presence in the Romanian market, as in 2024 it recorded a turnover of €238 million, while its current backlog comes to €900 million.
