Yes it is, but as far as I know, not from the beach. I used to live in Gdynia and there are a few high points from which you can see it.
Yes, best place to see Hel is restaurant at Gdansk Oliva Star. You can go 32nd floor.
Depends on weather, most of days its visible well
It is possible in good weather condition. When I was living in Gdynia I could see peninsula from the apartment on the 6th floor. Probably will be hard to do it from the sea level tho.
Yes! In fact, every year there is an event called “Marsz Śledzia” (Herring’s March), where people walk from Hel to Gdynia through the bay, since most of it is shallow enough. There is around 1.5-2km in total that requires swimming (afaik at those points people are sometimes pulled by boats).
I remember the first time I visited Hel and the north beach it felt super odd seeing the Baltic see without the peninsula on the horizon.
But yes, you can see the peninsula from the beach anywhere in Tricity. During the day it depends on the conditions, might not be visible to bear eye, but at night you can always see the lights.
I heard that a century ago the bay would freeze over and you could roll barrels of food and drink across from Gdynia to Hel. Is this true?
hel nah
When i was little i always thought it was sweden
Hell is round the corner
I will go to Hel, and you can join me there later to check it. See you in Hel!

Plot twist – that’s a flat earther bait.

Yes. Sometimes it’s possible.

It’s on June 28th if you want to go, but you have to register first at [www.marszsledzia.pl](http://www.marszsledzia.pl)
Been to Hel, it’s really nice up there.
It’s often possible with the air being clear enough and almost always possible when you’re high enough near the water
Probably. If you look deep enough.
Nieco ponad 19km czyli w sumie nie tak daleko.
Mam podobne zdjęcie Helu ale z Westerplatte (24km)
