Prefer Diana’s outfit but Kate’s hat.
I don’t think they’re really comparable though. Different colours, different styles. The only thing similar is their title and the white colour blocking
Kate’s hat is nice, but the dress is giving homemade Gordon Gartrell shirt from The Cosby Show. Those shoulder pads are approaching comically large.
Diana’s outfit is very with the time she wore it. It’s fine.
Difficult to compare since Kate dress is a modern version of Diana. And since this is 2025, I will say Kate’s. Love the color!
Not sure why people are acting like this question is somehow out of bounds — the outfit was an obvious reference. I think they both look great.
I really dislike that grandma style they put Charlotte in!
I love Kate, but hate the copycat look. She’s so beautiful on her own, so I wish she would just live in that space.
Neither one wore it better because they’re two completely different looks. But they both look stunning.
The only similarity is that they have this colour blocking imo and like it was the 80s so the shoulder pads.
Do I think Diana is on the mood board sometimes? fs 100% – my immediate thought goes to one of the times she left the hospital and it felt like Diana was 100% the inspo. But sometimes it’s like a similar silhouette or pattern and people are like “Diana Cosplay”
They both look great. The photos are 47 years apart. If a future Royal woman wears a version of this in 47 years time, it will fit in with the fashions then, rather than now.
