I recommend those vertical tower fans. The upright ones. Always seem to work a lot better and more directionally to me, easier to store when not in use.
See you in October, Central Line.
It could be hotter than Los Angeles next weekend/start of the week after
Awwwww yeahhhhhhh
Finally
don’t threaten me with a good time
I love the heat.
But here are a few things to do if you aren’t a fan of the heat.
Keep curtains/blinds closed.
Get some airflow by opening windows at back and front (if you have them)
Hot air rises so open the highest window to let the heat out.
Get a fan.
Slow down and don’t overheat yourself.
I plan to sunbathe at lunch time tomorrow so I will be over heating myself but I’m stuck in an office the rest of the week.
As long as it’s under 20 degrees at night I won’t mind.
It’s the 25+ nights that suck.
Yessssssssss
Yess!
Fantastic news.
(I’m doing a work layover in London tomorrow and forgot my jacket at home)
Oh great, the tube is back to being a swamp then
It’s summer 🙈 why is this news . Every year
Get one of those small neck fans for quick cooling.
The worst.
Sun smashes the living room, bedroom and WFH office side of the house all day. Absolute misery. It’s already too hot now (10pm) and today wasn’t even that hot.
Loved last summer when it was cloudy and cooler.
Nice!!
Has anyone on here installed Air Con in their home? I’ve been thinking about it but not sure of the pros and cons (or the cost for that matter!).
It just sounds amazing to be able to come home from a sweaty commute, switch on the air con & start making dinner.
Our upstairs windows are all 2ftx2ft sq. I made a number of inserts with cardboard covered with thermal behind-the-radiator silver… stuff you can buy in rolls. Easily put up/taken down – and works very well.
Nice
Who would’ve thought that? I bet it ends at the end of September
Just don’t think about installing an AC in your apartment cause it’s against your lease!
Long time is probably 5 days max lol then back to cold rainy for at least 2 months
Nightmare
“Why would you buy AC? You would only need it for one day each year…”
