In my 20 years here, I've only seen this when I'm abroad!
A group of young people are sitting on Sidewalk waiting for the light to turn red so that they can perform circus-like at the very front before the light turns green again and then, walk past the cars to get money.

They've been there since last week and it's really annoying because my route to work goes past there.

  1. Look, all my life I’ve seen people begging at red lights, or people trying to sell you stuff.

Someone putting on a small show is a nice distraction. You’re not forced to give them money if you don’t want to, just enjoy the free show.

  2. Don’t give them money and they will stop doing this. In Switzerland, everything one needs is provided if necessary, so noone needs to beg to survive.

  3. I hate this kinda thing. Very common in Latin America (I hope we won’t get to see the windshield washers around here). The begging and music performing on public transport (rare but I see it more often that I would like) isn’t any good either

  4. This is your third post about this.. just talk to them or to the police, what is reddit supposed to do?

  5. To all the people saying “are they bothering you”
Yes of course it’s bothering, they are literally infront and on the street you are driving on, and then they are looking at you in your car and asking for money.

This is exactly how it starts, for now its two people and then it’s every red light in the city.

Sorry but this is not a 3rd world country to be doing circus acts on the streets, if they would be doing it for the “art” then they would consider doing it at a square or somewhere legal.

I am a DJ, would you like me to Blast my newest single at 20,000 watts your way just because I want to share my art with you ? And then ask you for a coin ?
