Police Capture Man Who Shot Minnesota Lawmakers

a man who is dressed like a cop armed to the teeth and carrying a hit list of Democrats just assassinated a state lawmaker and her husband in Minnesota but then there’s also just so much misinformation going around so let’s break this down right so it was for the shootings themselves at around 2:00 in the morning on Saturday you had police receiving a call about gunfire at the home of Democratic State Senator John Hoffman when the cops arrived they found that Hoffman and his wife were both shot but still alive and they rushed them to the hospital the charging documents and public statements suggesting that the couple’s daughter actually made the 911 call and then around an hour and a half later you had police in a neighboring suburb proactively checking on another lawmaker Democratic State Representative Melissa Hortman to their surprise they said they found what appeared to be a police vehicle already in the driveway complete with flashing emergency lights and then they say they saw a man who appeared to be a police officer standing outside the front door wearing a vest a badge a taser the whole get with initial reports claiming he immediately opened fire after they confronted him though police have since said it’s unclear whether that actually happened but either way the cops said he retreated back inside and escaped out the back door disappearing into the night and as for Hortman she and her husband were found dead inside the house from gun wounds but that then resulting what officials have called the largest manhunt in state history with just an army of law enforcement fanning out over the county then on Sunday afternoon you had detectives reportedly finding a car and a hat that they believed belonged to the suspect abandoned on a remote stretch of road about an hour’s drive from the shootings and so they began searching house to house in the area then soon an officer reported seeing a person that he thought was a suspect darting into woods nearby and that Isa resident also reportedly seeing the man on a trail camera which investigators confirmed and so they set up a one square mile perimeter deployed drones and dogs and eventually spotted it with him reportedly being caught crawling through thick shrubs and although he was armed police say that no force was used in the arrest now as for what this guy’s motivations were they strongly appear to have been political police saying they found a list in his vehicle naming about 70 potential targets largely consisting of Democrats but follow to stay in the loop
