Americans saying “30°C isn’t that hot” (they haven’t even heard of humidity)
Americans will say what is C?
Today was tough. And Im from a tropical country 🤡
30°C=86°F.
Today in Clearwater it was 92°F, with humidity it feels like 102°F… fecking miserable 😢
It doesn’t help that UK towns were just simply not built for that weather.
Walking along an enclosed tarmac and concrete street that just traps exhaust and heat is fucking miserable even when it’s still only 25
Americans think 30° Isn’t that hot because in Fahrenheit it’s not also the UK has a lot of marshland not to mention is in the middle of the fucking ocean which means a lot of humidity even when it’s not been raining much making 30° feel much hotter
I don’t think you understand the concept of heat death.
Sod off, bot
We had 99% humidity for around 5 hours during the night, with 97% average humidity throughout the day, a few days ago, here in Scotland. When you couple that with less than 5 km/h wind speeds.
Absolute torture.
Australia: puts on jacket
It’s always humid here… must say though that Florida is humid af also having lived there for about a year and a half in the 80’s
Can we stop comparing ourselves to America EVERY FUCKING TIME? honestly, it’s pathetic and needs to stop.
Lately this page seems more like “American memes”
“Heat death of the universe” means that all the energy in the universe is evenly distributed, so there’s no way for heat to flow, stars to burn, or anything interesting to happen ever again. It describes an incredibly cold, dark universe which only gets colder and darker as the expansion of the cosmos spreads the remaining heat thinner and thinner.
This is, therefore, an inaccurate ~~meme.~~ EDIT: well, inaccurate title. I guess the *meme* is fine.
I will say, even at 2am, it’s f*cking hot in here.
Because the uk is an island, we have higher humidity.
So when its hot, its unbearable.
Most Americans can’t walk in their own neighbourhoods (by design) and have some kind of air conditioning in their homes and in their cars. They are so pampered, they don’t know what true heat is.
30c in America they all standing around confused because they don’t know what 30c is.
Back when I were a lad, our usual holiday was to France in August, it was around 30C and we looked forward to the heat. Nowadays 30C is insane, I’ve even had AC fitted to the house.
Humidity. The UK would be a temperate rainforest if all the forests were still here.
One British C equals 0.7 American C
Lol Americans really think theirs is the same. I’ve been to several states in america over summer months for work and let me tell you I was comfortable in a suit, jacket and coat in their 30C heat. Yesterday in the UK it was 28 where I was and I was in my pants all day by a fan, still fucking dying.
