US Vice President JD Vance is once again in a media storm after slamming a critic as a ‘loser’ amid reports that someone in his team is leaking secrets to the press.
Quote tweeting one of his critics, who had accused someone in Vance’s team of leaking sensitive information to media outlets, JD Vance wrote on X: “This loser (who supported Desantis in the 2024 primary) is now attacking my team, which has been working tirelessly to implement the president’s agenda.
“He has no evidence for this BS smear because there isn’t any.”
This comes as Vance was accused of gaslighting over the Iran/ Israel conflict, as violence in the Middle East rages on.
The initial accusation came from Republican strategist David Reaboi, who wrote: “[Trump] should probably find out who on JD’s team is leaking to Politico and Axios.”

Reaboi fired back at Vance following the ‘loser’ comment, sharing a photo of a previous endorsement of VAnce from Reaboi and writing: “Everybody makes mistakes.”
Vance replied again to the Reaboi post: “I’ve never disliked Dave, but I am very loyal to my people. These guys are working around the clock, some of them not seeing their families or sleeping more than a couple of hours per day. Attack me all you want. But attacking loyal staff is bogus and demoralizing.”
This comes as rumours swirl around the close relationship between JD Vance’s team and the media.
Buckley Carlson, Tucker Carlson’s son, was appointed deputy press secretary to US Vice President JD Vance in January this year. Rumors swirl that he could be behind the leak.
Vance has lept to the defence of Donald Trump’s approach to the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran amid increasing pushback from top conservative figures and MAGA followers. In a lengthy post, Vance focused on the president’s supposed consistency on the issue of Iran’s nuclear capability, despite calls from leaders within the Republican party to reject all involvement in the conflict.
“First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent, over 10 years, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal,” Vance wrote on X.
“And of course, people are right to be worried about foreign entanglement after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy. But I believe the president has earned some trust on this issue.
“And having seen this up close and personal, I can assure you that he is only interested in using the American military to accomplish American people’s goals. Whatever he does, that is his focus.”
