Global health IT company Altera Digital Health has announced that its complete electronic health record (EHR) system’s latest release, Sunrise 25.1, is now available for mid-size hospitals and health systems.
This update introduces around 700 enhancements designed to improve financial and ambulatory workflows, reduce cognitive load, and provide critical information at the point of care.
Despite improved hospital margins in 2024, healthcare institutions face challenges such as competitive labour markets, rising costs, and increased bad debt.
Sunrise 25.1 offers solutions with best-practice workflows and configuration tools aimed at supporting revenue integrity, clinical productivity, and overall effectiveness.
The Sunrise Financial Manager module, for instance, features a billing hub that simplifies the billing process for revenue cycle staff.
In Sunrise Ambulatory Care, users benefit from unified lists for appointments and walk-ins, easy location viewing, improved visual cues, clinical assignments, and new mini-views for quick patient toggling.
For acute care, the system allows for simplified order entry and maintenance, as well as flexible search capabilities.
Moreover, Sunrise Mobile has been updated with new icons and a modern interface, allowing clinicians to concentrate more on caregiving.
Altera Digital Health Sunrise development senior vice-president Shanna DeLeo said: “This release brings meaningful advancements to the front lines of care and operations, delivering tools that help teams move faster, work smarter and make strides where it matters most to them.
“Sunrise 25.1 is a direct result of listening to our clients and a commitment to continuous progress. I am incredibly proud of the Sunrise team for delivering on our promise to keep elevating healthcare for clinicians, staff members and the patients they serve.”
Last September, Altera Digital Health enhanced its healthcare IT solutions by integrating Paymentus’ cloud-based electronic bill presentment and payment platform.
“Altera Digital Health’s Sunrise 25.1 EHR now available for hospitals” was originally created and published by Hospital Management, a GlobalData owned brand.
