Donald Trump has reiterated his claim of stopping a war between India and Pakistan for the 14th time. This comes after a 35-minute phone call with Prime Minister Modi and ahead of Trump’s meeting with Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir. India maintains it had clearly told the US President that Pakistan wanted the ceasefire and emphasised no mediation would be tolerated. Trump’s statement contradicts India’s narrative on the ceasefire agreement.
