U.S., Norway, Belgium, Denmark, and More Celebrate Exciting Upgrades for Harmony of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas with New Pools, Dining, and Attractions as Royal Caribbean unveils its most significant fleet enhancements. These iconic ships, part of the Royal Amplified program, will soon feature reimagined pool decks, cutting-edge dining options, and thrilling new attractions for passengers across the globe. Guests in the U.S., Norway, Belgium, Denmark, and other regions are set to enjoy newly designed spaces that combine relaxation, luxury, and excitement. With new dining venues like The Lime & Coconut and Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, refreshed pools, and immersive experiences such as laser tag and exclusive family suites, these upgrades promise to redefine the cruise experience. Travelers are eagerly awaiting the enhanced features that will make their next voyage even more memorable.
One of the largest ships in the fleet, Harmony of the Seas, will undergo an extensive makeover as it returns to Port Canaveral in August 2026. The ship’s pool deck will be reimagined with a Caribbean-inspired theme, creating a vibrant and laid-back atmosphere for guests. The adults-only solarium will also be redesigned, providing a peaceful sanctuary for those looking for a quiet retreat. In addition to these upgrades, new attractions will be introduced, including a laser tag arena, an enhanced arcade, and new dining spots like The Lime & Coconut, El Loco Fresh, and the Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse. For families, the Ultimate Family Suite will offer a unique, elevated accommodation experience, and the Casino Royale, the largest in the fleet, will expand its offerings, adding even more gaming options.
Since its debut in 2016, Harmony of the Seas has set the standard for innovation in the cruise industry, holding the title of the world’s largest cruise ship at the time. It was the first ship in the Oasis-class to feature the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-story dry slide that continues to thrill guests. Additionally, the ship offers other exciting features such as three high-speed waterslides, a zip line, FlowRider surf simulators, and the Bionic Bar, where robotic bartenders craft cocktails. These attractions have made Harmony of the Seas a favorite for guests seeking both excitement and relaxation.
Ovation of the Seas, a Quantum-class ship, will also undergo significant renovations. The pool deck will be updated with private casitas and a new whirlpool, providing guests with more space and luxury to unwind. A new bar, the Pesky Parrot, will bring a lively atmosphere to the ship. For accommodations, the ship will introduce the Ultimate Family Suite and the Panoramic Suite, both offering luxurious amenities and stunning views. Starting in summer 2026, Ovation of the Seas will begin offering Alaskan cruises, giving guests the chance to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska.
Liberty of the Seas, a Freedom-class ship that has been part of the fleet since 2007, will receive several notable upgrades. The pool deck will be enhanced with more private casitas, and exciting new dining venues such as El Loco Fresh and Izumi Teppanyaki will be added to the ship’s offerings. In addition, Liberty of the Seas will introduce the Royal Escape Room, an immersive experience designed for families and groups. The ship will also feature a new Starbucks and the Lime & Coconut bar, adding more options for guests to relax and enjoy their time on board. Liberty of the Seas will begin cruising from Southampton, England, in summer 2026, with itineraries to popular destinations like Norway, Belgium, and Denmark.
These upgrades are all part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Amplified program, which has already brought significant improvements to other ships in the fleet, including Allure of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, and Independence of the Seas. The program’s goal is to bring modern features to older ships while maintaining the best-loved aspects that have made Royal Caribbean a leader in the cruise industry.
In addition to these ship enhancements, Royal Caribbean has made significant investments at Port Canaveral since late 2023, positioning some of its largest ships for both short Bahamas cruises and longer Caribbean sailings. The debut of Utopia of the Seas in 2024, along with the continuing presence of Wonder of the Seas, is part of this broader strategy. However, Wonder of the Seas will soon be replaced by Star of the Seas, the second ship in Royal Caribbean’s Icon class, set to launch in August 2026.
U.S., Norway, Belgium, Denmark, and more are celebrating Royal Caribbean’s exciting upgrades to Harmony of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas, featuring revamped pools, new dining options, and thrilling attractions, all designed to elevate the cruising experience.
With the upgrades to Harmony of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas, Royal Caribbean is reaffirming its commitment to delivering exceptional cruise experiences. These ships will now offer an enhanced blend of classic cruising features and exciting new attractions, ensuring that every guest has the opportunity for an unforgettable adventure. Whether seeking relaxation or thrills, Royal Caribbean’s newly upgraded ships will offer the perfect setting for a truly memorable vacation.
